Your Own Discord Bot with GalaxyBot Plus

This guide will walk you through the setup process step by step.
Step 1: Activate GalaxyBot Plus
Head over to our dashboard at dash.galaxybot.app and select the Discord server where GalaxyBot is already installed.
Note: You must be the server owner to activate GalaxyBot Plus.
If you're eligible, you'll see a “Plus” button in the dashboard. Click it — the monthly price will be displayed, based on the number of members on your server. Smaller communities pay less, larger servers pay a bit more — keeping it fair for everyone.
Click “Continue” to start setting up your custom bot.
Step 2: Create a Discord Application
To use your own bot, you need to create a new Discord application via the official Discord Developer Portal.
Here’s how:

Go to the Discord Developer Portal

Click “New Application” in the top right

Choose a name for your bot and confirm by clicking “Create”

In the left menu, go to the “Bot” section

Enable all Privileged Gateway Intents:
- Presence Intent
- Server Members Intent
- Message Content Intent
You’ll find these under the Privileged Gateway Intents section in the bot tab.

Reset your bot token and copy it — you’ll need it shortly in the GalaxyBot dashboard.
Important: Never share this token with anyone!
Step 3: Enter the Bot Token in the GalaxyBot Dashboard
Go back to the GalaxyBot dashboard (on your server, in the “Plus” section) and paste your copied token into the provided field.
Click “Invite” to invite your bot to your Discord server, if you haven’t done that already. If you don’t see the “Invite” button, your bot is probably already in the server.
Once your custom bot has joined the server, click the 🔄 refresh icon in the dashboard to recheck the setup.
⚠️ Your custom bot can only be used on the server where GalaxyBot Plus is activated. If it's already been added to other servers, it will be automatically removed from them.
Also, make sure the main GalaxyBot remains on your server — it’s required for your custom bot to function properly.
Step 5: Complete the Subscription and Get Started
Once everything is set up, click “Continue” and complete your subscription using one of the available payment methods.
The bot setup will now begin automatically — this usually takes 2–5 minutes.
Once the process is complete, your very own fully functional Discord bot will be ready — with all the familiar GalaxyBot modules and features.
