GalaxyBot Version 5 – our biggest update yet
We’ve released version 5 of GalaxyBot. This update introduces a wide range of new features that make the bot even more powerful and versatile. One major highlight: With GalaxyBot Plus, you can run your own fully customized Discord bot – including hosting, dashboard, and all the features you already know.
GalaxyBot is already used in many large Discord communities – from GTA FiveM and Star Stable Online to Roblox RP and Minecraft. Even popular streamers rely on GalaxyBot to manage their communities. With version 5, the feature set reaches a whole new level.
Key module updates at a glance
A powerful social media module for Twitch and YouTube
One of the highlights of this release is the completely redesigned social media module. For the first time, Twitch and YouTube are combined into one unified system.
With the new YouTube integration, you can automatically post new videos to Discord – as dynamic messages that update themselves. This keeps your channel tidy and easy to navigate. A separate thread automatically keeps track of video history, so nothing gets lost.
You can link up to four YouTube channels at once, perfect if you manage multiple channels or want to feature other creators. Each channel is individually configurable – for example, whether notifications are sent or not.
The Twitch integration has also been improved. Stream announcements now include extra details like stream tags. A full streaming schedule can now be displayed in Discord. You can also define roles per channel that should receive notifications.
Better protection for your server with the new security module
Security on Discord is essential. That’s why we’ve significantly expanded the server security module – now called Guild Protection. It protects your server from raids, spam, and unauthorized bots.
Familiar features like the built-in captcha via the verify button remain. What’s new is the ability to create custom protection rules. These let you define limits for specific actions – like mass bans or bot invites – and choose what should happen if the limit is exceeded.
GalaxyBot helps you protect your server from attacks, abuse of permissions, and other security risks.
More flexibility in the ticket system
The ticket system has also received a major update, offering more flexibility than ever before. You can now create multiple ticket panels – for different areas such as tech support, community, or moderation.
Each panel can use separate team roles, giving you clearer responsibility structures. When a team member picks up a ticket, it can automatically be moved to another category.
A new button in the ticket channel allows users to close tickets directly. The system also now shows current workload – especially helpful for larger servers.
Improved moderation and better role management
We’ve simplified and improved the moderation tools. Linked moderation is now enabled by default, which connects all moderation actions in a meaningful way.
Multiple roles can now be assigned moderation permissions. We’ve also added a new /unwarn command, allowing you to remove warnings when needed.
Enhanced suggestions for your community
The suggestions module has been improved to better manage user feedback. When a suggestion is accepted or rejected, this is now automatically logged. Users also receive a private message with the result.
You can now assign multiple roles that are allowed to manage suggestions – giving you more control and flexibility.
New help command with a clear layout
The /help command has been completely redesigned. Instead of a long list, it now features a modern layout with buttons. Users can directly access the website, the full feature list, support, or social media.
Bot info is also now shown in this new help system, replacing the previous /botinfo command.
